In the last week, the server that hosts HawaiiThreads.com (and several other domains) was moved three times, all part of an overall upgrade that was supposed to improve capacity and performance. First from an old machine to a newer one, and then from that newer one to a "virtual private server." The last move, the big move, was supposed to take an hour.
That was 30 hours ago, and counting.
Apparently my webhost is having severe problems with a DNS DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack that is rendering its machines unreachable. But that's a separate problem from my main concern, which is the fact that all of my websites are missing. I could live with being unable to reach them for a while, if I was confident they were still there!
In any case, I sincerely apologize for this extended outage. I was finally investing the money to give HawaiiThreads.com and its siblings a better home, and in the end, the move has put everything on ice.
Thanks for your patience. If you have to scratch that posting itch, please feel free to use the "Forum" feature here at HawaiiVox to express yourself.
