It's a tourist thing in New Orleans with the above-ground "ovens" (vaults) but I used to go and just wander around by myself. I've only done it a few times on Oahu. One up above School Street - I think in Kalihi? - comes to mind.I'm always driving past them when I have someplace to go and no time to stop, always reminding myself that I want to visit soon. So many stories on the old stone. And, yes - the timing! Very cool that the first performance you might go see is just the right one to suck you in! The day after Halloween, All Saints Day, is the first performance. Wonder if they planned it that way?
